Arthroscopy
A Holmium laser with a wavelength of 2.1 microns or a VAPR laser is used for joint surgery, which allows the treatment of cartilaginous and meniscal defects with the utmost care and precision. Since the thermal effect of the laser beam only penetrates to a depth of 0.4 mm, the cut is highly accurate with a precise stoppage of bleeding. In comparison with classical joint surgery this reduces possible post-operative risks. Lékařský dům provides post-operative rooms for monitoring patients under anaesthesia. Parents can be at the bedside of children.
